Aloe ferox is found in our Cleanser, Serum and Moisturiser. Our Aloe ferox is sustainably wild harvested in the Western and the Eastern Cape in South Africa.
Aloe ferox is a single stem aloe that grows across South Africa from the Western Cape to Eastern Cape and across to KwaZulu Natal.
Aloe ferox is used to treat insect bites, sunburn and skin irritations. In Xhosa culture, crushed leaves are applied to wounds, while the Pondo mix Aloe juice with water for a refreshing body wash.
THE XHOSA LANGUAGE
The Xhosa language is made up of fifteen click sounds. These click-sounds are thought to have been passed on from Khoi or San mothers who married into the Xhosa tribes. The children spoke both languages until the two combined.
